Hey United Local, do you want to learn about the Highschool Band teacher Mr. Baker? Now you can! Mr. Baker is excited for the band’s upcoming performance at Disney World. They get to perform in front of thousands of people from all over the World! Mr. Baker is impressed with the saxophone section because they have been practicing the most, and making the most progress since they have started. Congratulations middle school, Mr. Baker says, “That you are the most successful in band because you are on your third show as you wrap up your football season.”
Mr. Baker wanted to be a band director because it was his favorite class as a kid. He learned more in band than any other class and he wanted to be able to provide this for future generations. He says, “It’s not just about the music, but also learning how to communicate, budget, collaborate, time management, and learn about cultural differences. He says band gives kids the opportunity to travel and perform all over the world.” He believes band also helps kids get over anxiety and become more confident.
