This spring Vision to Learn mobile clinic came to United Local School District and provided free vision screenings, eye exams and glasses to our students ranging from Pre-K - 12th grade.
Vision to Learn is a non-profit that collaborates with schools and community partners to provide vision screenings to students. The mobile clinic came to the United campus with an Optometrist who then provided eye exams to any student who failed their screening. Once it was determined students needed glasses they were able to pick out their own frames from a large selection in the mobile clinic. The students then received their glasses in about two weeks free of charge. At this time 96 students have received their glasses. United Local is thankful for this partnership and looks forward to helping families correct vision issues in students.
