This week is National School Bus Safety Week, October 16th—20th. We, as car drivers, can help our children get to school safely by avoiding all distractions and following a few important safety rules when encountering buses, pick-up and drop-off spots, and driving in a school zones.

Students from Mrs. Bibri's 6th Grade Career Exploration class welcomed Doug Jackson from Elkrun Industries as he was a guest speaker in class Monday. He shared the up and downs of being a roll-off driver and working with a landfill. They also got to experience his truck in action as he unloaded and loaded a large dumpster! Yesterday the fifth grade visited the nature trail again for some outdoor learning. We had special guests, Heather Mercer and Adam Zorn from the University of Mount Union, and Pete Conkle and John Beilhart from the Columbiana County Water and Soil department. They shared their knowledge of life science with the students!
