
Our 2nd graders were excited to welcome Meteorologist Paul Wetzel to United today to talk about all things weather! He says the sun is on its way!





Attention to our Elementary Parents: We will be having our fourth of five no face-to-face learning days tomorrow 4/19/23 for students in Kindergarten and First Grade. Students have learning packets coming home today to complete.


First grade had a great time visiting Beech Creek and Raptor Hallow today!









Todays review challenge in Mrs. Leitza's literacy class involved escaping from Planet Emoji! 🌎😊
Students worked in teams to solve a series of 4 literacy challenges to hopefully escape from the Emoji Queen! 👑











Mrs. Marshall's first grades had a wonderful field trip today ,along with the whole first grade! We learned so much and got to observe and explore many things that align with our science unit!

Third grade took their test prep outside this morning!! Students worked in groups to answer the most questions correctly. Great job kiddos!







The younger students ( Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders) got to practice their teamwork skills through parachute activities and games in PE Class. Pictured here is Mrs. Buckshaw's kiddos (2nd grade) getting ready to problem solve through the game of Popcorn. Awesome job today kids!


Mrs Garn's friends planted seeds🌱 today. We are learning how the sub ☀️ is a source of energy that will give energy to the seeds to make them grow! 🌻🌼





This week in PE Class the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders practiced throwing, catching, fielding, running, and teamwork through the game of 3-Ball. Pictured here is Mr. Phillips 5th graders. Great teamwork kids!





Attention elementary parents with students that ride with bus #17. The bus had a small incident and the bus is running late. All students are safe. Please call the elementary office with any questions.

Second graders in Ms. B's room are working on creating different shapes that also qualify as polygons using straws and twist ties!








To wrap up our Opinion/Review writing unit, Mrs Garn's class wrote candy reviews of their favorite Easter Candy 🐰🍭 After conferring with a few adults, Charlee Thompson's review of Cadbury Cream Eggs was the winner. As a reward, the kids were treated to Cadbury Cream Eggs!





Since the weather didn't cooperate, first grade's egg hunt was moved indoors! We still had a great time celebrating Easter/ spring together.


The rain couldn’t stop Mrs. Leitza's 5th grade literacy classes today today! We had an Easter egg hunt in our room. Students found eggs that contained literacy related questions and then worked to answer them. It was a fun and engaging way to spend the last day before break! 🐰🐣










This week the students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade STEAM class participated in the Pillowcase project put on by the American Red Cross. They learned about fire safety and the timely subject of storm preparedness. Students were given a workbook to work though with their family to help to plan for such events and also a pillowcase to decorate to use in case of an emergency.






Students in Mrs. Shepard's class created anemometers to test the wind speed. It was a good day to test them ahead of a storm coming!


Students in Ms. Buckshaw's room practiced recognizing shape attributes by playing Shape Capture in math today!








Students in Mrs. Greenawalt's class have been learning about solids, liquids, and gases. Today, they made jello and discussed how jello can be a solid or a liquid.
