21 United FFA Members are in Columbus this week celebrating their year of achievements at the Ohio FFA Convention and taking tours.
First tour of the day was at the Ohio State house! The Ohio Capitol building was built in 1838 and is the 2nd largest Capitol building, 1st being the Capitol building in Washington D.C.
Students learned of the rich history behind the building, the history of the people of government & how their decisions affect agriculture, and visited the architectural masterpieces throughout. One of the highlights was to visit the House of Representatives room.
Did you know the limestone that the building is constructed of has visible fossils throughout?

United FFA’s 2nd annual Career fair and expo was hosted last Thursday!
Grades 9-12 attended an assembly by Land-pro equipments area sales manager Erick, where he discussed preparing for the future and becoming assets to their future employers.
Over 40 local businesses exhibited career fair booths and visited with our students.
Seniors participated in Mock job Interviews that business professionals conducted to prepare students for future job interviews they may have!
FFA Officers created and conducted break out sessions on financial budgeting, networking, team building, dressing for success and career success breakout room!
