Thank you do everyone who donated to help out with the cause. Today was EP's first day back at school after being displaced from their community last week.

Students in Agriscience began the germination process of the "leafy greens for you and me" project. Step 1: ensure the pH of the water is the ideal 6-6.5 for growth. Step 2: Soak the growing medium (rockwool stater cubes). These have zero nutrients, they just hold the seed and roots during growth. Step 3: place one seed per cube and cover with vermiculite, an absorbent mineral. Step 4: place in grow cart and wait for plants to sprout. We have planted 5 varieties of lettuce, cherry tomatoes and strawberries!
