In Miss Ruiz's class students experiment with conservation of energy by dropping pencils into cups of salt from varying heights. After each drop they measure pencil depth, exploring potential vs. kinetic energy and energy transformation, showcasing the principles of conservation of energy.

This past week in Mr. Wood's class we were looking into the different layers that are inside the earth. We used different densities of liquids to correlate them to the different densities of our earth layers.

Sixth grade project...The students had a good time either writing from the characters perspective, researching more about bush pilots, or creating a news report from our class read aloud. Take a look at their creative minds. 📚🎥🎙️📔

The 7th grade class created light up Holiday cards this last week to take home for their family or friends as part of their electricity and poetry units. In Mrs. Conser's ELA class students wrote holiday, birthday, and uplifting Haiku poems for the inside of their cards. In Miss Ruiz's science class students created circuits within their cards to give their cards the ability to light up. (Many students created circuits with switches allowing their card to turn on and off!) Students needed to comprehend syllables and electrical circuits in order to complete this assignment. They did an AMAZING job!
