A huge shoutout to Justus Lewand for being a guest speaker for the 6th grade Career Exploration class. He gave insight on what it's like having a job while still in school! He is being proactive by saving money for his plans after graduation. Thanks, Justus!

Fifth grade math students reviewed for their test by making brownies in class! We took a recipe made for 8 servings and completed the math to create a new recipe to show 1/4 of that. We then went to work using our measuring and teamwork skills! Our hallway never smelled so good! A special shoutout to the parent volunteers who came in to save the day! 💙💛

This week all students in kindergarten to 5th grade participated in a nationwide Hour of Code event during STEAM class. Our students joined in on lessons learning how to program sprites or characters, working in a game lab or coding with robotic mice. It was a great week!

Today, as the 5th grade kicked off their Gingerbread House Descriptive Writing Project, they had realtors Austin Noel and Katherine Oesch come in and speak! They shared how they use descriptive writing in their jobs and helped the students begin to plan their gingerbread house descriptions. We appreciate the time they took to spend with us today! 😊📝

Over the last week 3rd grade students in Mrs. Spillman's literacy classes researched the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and then planned, designed, and built their own 3D floats! Today they shared their finished floats with some of the younger students.
