Students in Woods 1 are wrapping up a Mail & Key Holder project. They had to use the jointer to square the edges of their boards and then glue the boards together properly. Here are some examples of their work.

Sophomores in Woods 2 built corn hole boards this week and got to spend Friday playing the game with their own boards.

Shout out to our hard-working seniors in the Building Trades II class who learned to read blueprints and now are putting their knowledge to use. They are using the construction skills that they have learned so far this year to build garden sheds. They are also learning about marketing. Students had to make a bill of materials for their sheds and estimate what the materials would cost. Once their sheds are complete they will advertise for and sell their sheds, and then determine their profit margin. This journey teaches teamwork, problem-solving, and determination. These seniors are becoming both builders and entrepreneurs, ready for the future.

Students in Agriculture, Food & Natural resource class wrapped up their Unit conversations lesson today in the Food Science section by converting measurements (cups, teaspoons, milliliters, etc). They then converted units in a trail mix recipe, practiced proper methods of measuring and made their own trail mix! Next, they will be calculating the nutritional facts and building a nutrition label for their product.

Students in Plant & Animal science are moving along with their hydroponics projects. Check out the progress!
This project is teaching students analysis and management decision methods. How to convert measurement units (teaspoons to milliliters for example). Apply principles learning in class hands on. Analyzing plant deficiencies, making management decisions to correct with proper nutrient requirements.

We are UNITED in our appreciation for all that you do!
