Art 1 students took close up photos of fruit and other types of food. They then used these photos as a reference for their oil pastel art pieces. Our United students are very creative and are learning to see the unexpected tones and colors in the details of their images. The originals are on display in the High School cafeteria.

MR. GENTRY RECEIVES GOLDEN OWL NOMINATION
Congratulations to Mr. Gentry for being nominated for the Ohio Farm Bureau Golden Own Award. Nominations for this honor are submitted anonymously and can come from a student or community member. We received notice of the nomination in an official letter that reads:
“Your tremendous contributions to preparing the next generation of agriculture leaders have been noticed. Thank you for all you do for your students, school, and community as an agricultural educator.”
Included in the letter was part of what the student who nominated Mr. Gentry wrote:
“Mr. Gentry has made a bigger impact on my life than any person ever has…”
Mr. Gentry’s nomination will be considered along with others from across the state, from which (10) recipients will be recognized and one will be named the Ohio Agricultural Educator of the Year. Congratulations and Good Luck Mr. Gentry!
