The United Local 6th grade band went to see the YSU Dana School of Music Guitar Studio in concert at the Butler Art Museum in Youngstown. They got to hear blues, funk, improv, and classical genres from YSU guitarist. They also got to see the YSU campus and different opportunities for careers after they graduate. Our band concert is on Tuesday May 16 at 7pm in the auditorium. Concert is free and open to the public.





Today is National School Principal Appreciation Day, and we want to express our gratitude for everything you do for our students, parents, and staff! The Medical Career Pathways Class had a UHS student guest speaker recently. Morgan Lake informed the students about her recent application and interview process to KSU-Salem's Radiology Program. Congratulations, Morgan, on your acceptance into this program. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us and best wishes on your journey. We are looking forward to hearing more from you next fall.

Congratulations to our 2024 Prom Court: Campbell Blazer, Landon Jones, Kollyn Wells, Luke Mercer, Trent Ellyson, Jase Medure, Maddox Andrea, and Zachary Figley, Kaylee Bevilaqcua, Jennie Brinker, Mary Boston, Zoee Smith, Bailey McKenzie, Kamryn Kiko, Olivia Hardgrove, and Alivia Ganslein.
This year's Prom will take place on May 4, at Ten Fifty Eight Event Center in Sandusky, with the Parade of Fashions to begin at 4:00pm in our high school gymnasium.

FORMER EXCHANGE STUDENT RE-VISITS UNITED
United had a visit from a special guest from France yesterday. Bruno Jouffroy was a foreign exchange student at United H.S. during the 1995-96 school year. In this photo, our boy’s soccer coach, Curtis Jones, shares a team picture from 1995, when Bruno and Curtis played together on United's soccer team. 1995 was the first year for the soccer program at United and Jones was a freshman at the time. Jouffroy is currently a high school principal back in his home country of France. Keith Martig (United Guidance Counselor in 1995) coordinated the visit for he and his family to tour the school building he attended when he came to the U.S. as an exchange student.
