The United FFA chapter has extra fruit from the annual fruit sale. They are offering EXTRA FRUIT!!!
We have a limited supply of fruit left. We will be taking orders until fruit is Gone. Mixes include citrus (grapefruit, mandarin, navels), apples (melrose, Granny Smith, Fuji and golden delicious), a select few pineapples, and pears. We also have BBQ sauce (original, Spicy & island), beef jerky & select nuts. Contact a FFA member or Mr. Gentry soon to get your delicious mix before it’s gone for the season!

Reminder, there will be a College Credit Plus (CCP) Informational meeting held on 12/7/22 at 5:30pm. It will be held at Kent State University-Salem Campus. Representatives from Kent State, Youngstown State, and Eastern Gateway college will be in attendance. If you have a student interested in taking a CCP course during the 2023-2024 academic year, I encourage you to attend!

The United Band Christmas Concerts are this Sunday December 4. Grades 6-8 are performing at 2:30pm and 5th/ High School Band are performing at 4pm. Both the concerts are free and open to the public. The junior high needs to be here at 2pm and 6th grade at 2:15pm. The High School Band is getting to the school at 3:30pm and 5th grade at 3:45pm. All students are wearing business casual dress clothes, while high school wears their concert tuxedoes. Come out to hear your favorite Christmas songs! Go Band!!

Congratulations are in order for the United Local FFA Parliamentary Procedure team for placing 2nd place at districts and will be advancing to the State contest🥳


The United Golden Eagle Marching Band is performing in the Youngstown Christmas Parade at 6pm tomorrow night! Come out to support some amazing students while getting into the Christmas spirit. Parade starts and ends at Covelli Center. Go Band!!



Students in Building Trades II made plans to build garden sheds and recently began framing the floors and walls. Check out their progress!

The United chapter of National Honor Society is sponsoring a toy drive this year to help local families in need this holiday season. The National Honor Society is asking for any new or gently used unwrapped toys. This drive will run from November 29th through December 16th. The collection box is located in the hallway by the high school office. Collection hours will be from 7-730am before school & 230-3pm after school. The National Honor Society and the recipient families greatly appreciate your generosity.

We want to thank SHP for coming to meet with some students yesterday! They brought some sample furniture and playground ideas for the new school and will be gathering input from students and staff. We appreciate all the great feedback we gotten so far!

2022 Yearbooks have been in and there are still several people who have not picked them up. Many of them are 2022 grads! Congratulations again to Senior, Regan Sheets. She is the first student in the whole district to earn her THIRD Microsoft Office Specialist Certification this year. Regan is certified in Microsoft Office Word Basic, Microsoft Office Word Expert, and now Microsoft Office PowerPoint! Way to go Regan!

Congratulations to Landon Jones. He is the second student in the whole district to earn his SECOND Microsoft Office Specialist Certification this year. Landon is now certified in both Microsoft Office Word Basic, and Microsoft Office Word Expert! Way to go Landon!

United FFA members competed in the district 3 Job interview contest at Norwayne High school. Members prepared resumes, cover letters, participated in mock interviews and then typed a follow up letter. There was over 30 students participating. Freshman Maggie Cope placed 5th, sophomore Connor Perry placed 3rd, junior Colton Sutherin placed 2nd and Senior Olivia Short placed 4th. Congratulations on a job well done! 🎉
