The band is traveling to Sandusky tomorrow to perform at the Ohio Veteran’s home. All bands wrote Veteran Appreciation letters that will be presented after the band's performance. Samantha White, Jessica Huston, Lucy Raymond, Allison Conser, and Megan Short won the best written letters in each of their respective band classes. Senior Building Trades students are ready to find buyers for their garden sheds! They have decided to host an online auction. There will also be Bluebird Boxes and Picnic Tables added to the auction upon completion.

NASTARI CONTINUES TO SET NEW RECORDS! Kaleb Nastari ran today at the GlenOak Second Sole Elite track meet. He came in first in the 1600m run with a new school record time of 4:14.64. Kaleb then won the 800m run with a meet and stadium record time of 1:52.77.  CONGRATULATIONS KALEB!

A big congratulations to the United Local Junior High Band soloist that competed at OMEA State Solo/ Ensemble contest this morning! Everyone received Superior and Excellent Ratings! Atlee Brinker, Brittany Miller, Caroline Moser, and Katherine Wolfgang (Superior Trumpet Quartet). Chloe Angelo (Superior Xylophone Solo), Isaiah Conway (Superior Piano/ Baritone Solos), Sydney Thompson (Superior Trumpet Solo), Gavin Coffee (Excellent Alto and Tenor Saxophone Solos), Haylee Rininger (Excellent Flute Solo), and Mckenzie Cope (Excellent Flute Solo). The United 6th Grade Band got to hear the Dana School of Music Saxophone Studio perform today at the Butler Art Museum. They got to see the art at the Butler, along with tour some of the YSU campus. Hopefully some of these kids will be the performers, artists, and YSU students in about 6 more years!
